Pad Thai at Oody's Greenbelt

When I was walking home from work one night, I had a terrible craving for Pad Thai. Pad Thai is stir fried flat rice noodles with bean sprouts, chicken or shrimp (I prefer shrimps), some scrambled eggs, tamarind juice and diced tofu among other things. Pad Thai is usually topped with crushed peanuts and cilantro leaves. A slice of lime is served on the side.

I remember when hubby and I were in Bangkok, I would eat this everyday (yes, everyday) because I just love it so much it hurts, he he he, how very melodramatic of me. Anyway, when there I have an emergency craving, I usually give in.

Fortunately, Oddy's in Greenbelt, Makati was right on my way home. Well, maybe I took a short detour.

I finally ordered my Pad Thai. Now, Oody's isn't the best noodle restaurant there is. However, it would do in a pinch and they serve pretty decent meals. The servings are quite generous too and the prices are reasonable. Ad their name suggests, they serve all kinds of noodles.

I was dining alone, eating a huge plate of Pad Thai and people were looking at me funny. Everybody was with someone. Hmmmm.... they must be wondering why a lovely woman is sitting alone eating a huge plate of Pad Thai. LOL.

I felt like Charlotte in Sex and the City.

Bangkok, Day 3 (Part 2) - Siam Ocean World

Siam Ocean World, Bangkok is located at the basement of Siam Paragon Mall. It's a famous day trip tourist attraction. Very convenient and comfortable to visit. Entrance fee is BHT750 for adults. The fee already includes the 4D Theatre and a Glass Bottom Boat Ride.

For BHT5,000 more, you can even go swimming with the fishes :-)

A must-see when you're in Bangkok. I will definitely go back here.

My Trip to Bangkok

Hello from Bangkok! I'm having a great time so far.

My flight from Manila was quite harrowing with three screaming children seated behind me. My Russian seatmate kept rolling her eyes in frustration :-)

Hubby and I are staying at Unico Grande Sathorn Boutique Hotel and Residences. It's the first time for me to stay in a hotel equipped with its own kitchen! Nice. Our room is also great and quite spacious. Our hotel is very close to the Skytrain and it only takes a few minutes' ride to hit the malls.

I've only been in two so far. MBK, a Greenhills type of mall with lots of bargains on purses, shoes and trinkets. It took me practically the whole day to browse! I watched a movie at the Siam Paragon Mall while waiting for hubby to get off work. A swanky mall with all your favorite luxury brands and an equally swanky theatre, the seats recline. I'll explore more of it today.

I'll tell you more about my trip at a later post. I'm off again! Bye for now.

By the way, the food here is fabulous :-)
